Gruel's album with images of his best work, containing 75 photographs (primarily silver prints) of mostly bindings and 1 drawing, all mounted on stiff boards. Some blank boards at end appear to have had photographs removed from them. Most of the bindings are captioned in ms. hand in black and red with patron information. Among the clients listed are Emperor of Russia, the King of Italy, Archer Huntington, Robert Hoe, and Charles Scribner.
